Our Mission: The mission of the AACA is to address counseling issues that impact the quality of life of African American consumers and professionals.
Dr. Monicke Davis is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Currently, she is employed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Disability Studies at Langston University and as a Research Assistant Professor within the Langston University Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Research and Capacity Building for Minority Entities. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counselor Education from the University of Iowa.
Her past work experience includes working with children with emotional and behavioral disorders, in addition to serving as a youth mentorand advocate for survivors of domestic violence. She has presented at local, regional, and national conferences and has served in the role of secretary (2015-2016) for the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association. Dr. Davishas a passion for the field of counseling and believes in defining your purpose and mentorship.
